Well, I guess I'm fortunate in a way, because I have no problem being proud of my parents, nor them being proud of me! They both play an important role in my life, and sure, they were not perfect parents, and yes, they have made me angry before, but in the end, I realized that mistakes that they made, and decisions they made were only human! And from these mistakes, and weakness'they had, I learned from, and has made me the understanding person that I am today!
But I do see a lot of people that have this dissension between them and their children, and I only wish, they could see the world as I envision it, and it would help them understand life better!

mistakes are ok... as long as they don't change your life in a bad way for like... ever.

my mom... my mom is the greatest. one of the many reasons i'm proud of her is that she always always fought for her dreams, for what she wanted, never allowed people to take her down. she fought with everyone to have me... to have the job that SHE wanted, even thought she didn't make much money out of it... i wish i could be like her!
my dad, on the other hand... i don't like him very much. it's as if he doesn't exist. he's very selfish and never cares about my mom's, my sister's or my needs. all he cares about is himself and sometimes about his mother... who's worse than him.

It seems to be that your anger to your Dad is unforgiven with your grand ma too. But you are lucky instead by having your great Mom always there to support you at all. But without your Dad you were nothing in this world. I feel what you feel that is part of human race. Take care. I can see it in your eyes the burden that arise between you and your Dad.

excuse me :) my "grandma" started all this. and... there is a lyric in a band i like (bowling for soup) that goes like this "i'm so glad that she met my dad... i wouldn't be here if she never had"... but just because you procreate a kid does NOT make you a dad... my oppinion.

Assuming u r asking that about whom am i more proud of my mom or my dad right ? ok i would say both i am proud of my mom as well as my dad and i could write volumes on them in terms of how they reared me and how they instilled values in me how they educated me and made me a good man and showed me ways to behave n society and lot many things which only parents can give so i love em both very very much and amen to that.

I was always proud of my dad when I would hear about him working hard at his job and being able to provide for me and my brother and my sister and always being there for me and supporting me in everything I ever wanted to do and helping me to grow up with a good head on my shoulders and I am also proud of my mother for being there for me as well and picking up a job on the side to be able to help out around the house, I am greatful that both of my parents were able to be there for all of us since I know that not all people are able to say that.
