The evolution of fastfoods and restaurants does not mean that we have to rely on them and this does not that our living has improved. These were built to attract tourists in our place and have some place to run to whenever we want or taste something different. Home cook foods are still the best.

Today more people cook, if you still want to call it cooking. Cooking is equal opportunity these days and few people still have learned how to cook.
Way back when mom or grand-ma was a home maker, this included cooking for the whole family. Hopefully the cook was a good cook.
Was mom lucky to be the cook and stay at home? Was the food always tasty?
Was it always healthier? Just canned stuff? No frozen vegetables? Only fruit of the season or homegrown?
It was way back when like it is today. It depends what you make of it and if you cook with love. Love is the best spice in the food.

Yes and no for me. The evolution of fast food restuarants hasn't exactly done wonders for the obesity problem in America! Looking at it in a financial aspect, yes!! Many people got rich finding ways to make things easier for others and the food industry is a cash cow!! Eating is one of the things we have to do to survive so there will always be a need and our society is always rushing so already prepared food can be a plus!
