Just watched spiderman 3 and i have a question, why is it that when Peter Parker / Spiderman turns bad he turns into an emo?
Are they trying to suggest that emos are evil? It seems to be bit of a wrong stereotype if you ask me.
Also does anyone else think that whole bit in the middle of the film with him strutting down the street and then dancing in the Jazz bar was plain awful? I couldn't stop laughing at this geeky peter parker trying to act cool, and then the evilist thing he could think to do was to dance with another girl in front of MJ.
What did you think of the new film?

Firstly what is an 'emo' sorry to sound slow here. Secondly yes, although I enjoyed the film on the whole mainly for the special effects and the fighting scenes and the Sand Man most definitely NOT for the slushy romantic cr*p I am agreement with you the Jazz bar scene was definitely cringeworthy and unnecessary. If they cut out all that, the film could have been 90 minutes instead of 120.

in the words of Wikipedia : "Emo is a slang term used to describe a range of fashion styles and attitudes somewhat affiliated with emo music and its related scene. As an adjective, emo can describe a style of fashion or music, or a general state of unhappiness or melancholy (as in to "feel emo"). Emo is also used as a noun, often pejoratively, to identify a member of the "emo scene" or someone viewed as fitting the "emo" stereotype easily being characterized by a straightened side-part hairstyle covering one eye".
I agree that the fight scenes were good but everything else was complete rubbish that generally made me cringe. I don't think i enjoyed it at all until that final big fight scene
