Independence

Should Bermuda become independent. I say NO. Currently we work as an independent country, but we have the protection of the UK & EU. Independence would cost money, lots of money. Creating treaties with countries for trade, embassies etc.

why would you not want independence? look at the united states. We have our independence and look what we have. 4 billion dollors in dept. We engage wars with other countrys that have been fighting wars with countrys that have been fighting for thousands of years. we have people dieing of hunger when we pay millions of dollers to send a space shuttle into space.

What would be the pros and cons to becoming independent. I will admit I'm not very political thats why I'm curious. I didn't even know this was a topic of conversation in Bermuda. Great Topic!!!!
