any tips or sharing on what your methods are? Monday mornings can be dreary. Especially if the weather is bad. And with the entire week of work to look forward to.
Is there a ritual you have to make yourself feel better?
Or there's some psyching up that you do? Or some philosophy about mondays that makes it less bad? or some must-haves like a cup of coffee to brace yourself?

Yes, using Philosophy method.
1) Tell yourself, there are still lots of un-employment ppl out there.
2) YOu are blessed to still have a job, have income.
3) Imagine last time you face RETRENCHMENT before and lose job for 7 months no totally no income, got to get loan to settle 2 meals a day.
4) Lucky you got job, and you need to be a robber.
5) Apprepriate what you are now. and you won't feel blue on Monday anymore.

I don't know if there is any remedy for Monday blues I called it. Monday is a starting day after ur weekend holiday. :P I think we can free our mind that day and don't make your life miserable with ur jobs. Take it easy and hear to ur music. I think thats good for me. I don't like to hear people buzzing and nagging around me. :)

A general observation of the people in the office come Monday morning.
Every morning, the first stop of the day will always be to the pantry for that first perk-me-up coffee. But on Mondays in particular, that first coffee will always be longer than the rest of the week.
There is also a trend to have more coffee breaks on Mondays as well, especially before lunch.
Once lunch is over, many of us would have sort of broken back into the routine of the office. So there are less breaks then.
Then come nearer the end of the week, if your schedule is not messed up due to unforeseen problems, there will be more impromptu chit-chat sessions at the various cubicles.
He he... i wonder if this is also happening at your office.

well, right now I am into online earnings. I have made great money during the better period last year.
Ever since I got burnt during one of my bigger investments, I am slowing growing my existing funds to play with more programs again. With this in mind, I am always looking forward to go to work, as I can make use of the lull periods of the day to make money... like posting in this forum for example.
With the evenings after work and weekends all burnt shopping and planning for the wedding, I am always itching to go back to the office to post to make more cents to form dollars for my investment pool. So to me, monday ain't that draggy afterall ;)

hehehe, i have nothing that helps sooth the monday blues
the thing i need is a big cup of coffee
swear by this brand of 3-in-1 called old town
but uses aik cheong as a subsititute coz it's cheaper
after the coffee i'll read some news and after seeing all those sad news
makes me feels better that i'm sitting on my office chair safe and sound :)

If u got colleagues as close friend or good friend which can share and chat, it will be very helpful. Anything just complain to them as they maybe able to give advice as they understand ur situation.
If got handsome guy or pretty lady in ur office is another plus point. ur working day will not be so boring but pls make sure u don't disturb their work lor ;p

haha, that's true.
i guess if there's something like a class you like, or a course that you're taking on mondays it also gives you something to look forward tto after work! Another thing that I think helps is to set up a lunch appointment with a good friend. So there's something to look forward to in the middle of the day.
If that doesn't work, then for girls I guess buying a bar of chocolate for snacks at 4pm is a good idea too. chocolate has this ability to make people feel happier.
Ahgong's idea of going to work to make more internet cash is also a good one! quite slow in making money on this site, but at least it's better than nothing. and since we enjoy chatting, might as well make some dough from it right? hee.
