What are the chances of you getting a part-time maid in future?

Quite a few of my newly married friends have gotten part time cleaners to come in weekly or fortnightly to help clean their homes. Do you think you are likely to get one too? If you already got one, how long was it before you decided to do so? i.e. how long did you tahan for? :) Personally I would prefer not to have a maid, but if I really can't cope, won't mind having a part-time maid. Although I have heard of singles having maids! I think it's either that they are very lonely and need company, or they really refuse to lift a finger to do an ounce of housework!

Most likely I will, if there is money to spare. It would be good to take a break from house work once in a while. Especially when you have a long week, slaving away at housework during the weekend is the last thing anyone would want to do. Hmm... could this be a business opportunity?

Haha, you're right this could be a business opportunity. Think those weekend cleaners need to get more organised. There is significant demand for their services, but people are always trying to find them / find good reliable affordable ones. Although not doing housework would give a couple more time to enjoy and relax over the weekend, it can also be fun doing housework together? Helps in bonding? Like you are working to build your own home? I guess this is what i feel now, but that might fade in future.

ha ha ha... you are so right. And this is good cos you and hubby are still new in the home rite? Once a kid comes along, every married couple will sing a different tune. It is a matter of affordability then.

most prob i will be getting one, not in the near future though about the part of singles having maids i'd say they are too busy working to even have time to clean the place a friend of mine basically works from 8 in the morning to 10 at night reach home, bathe and sleep liao coz tomorrow got to work again the routine basically repeats itself throughout the week except sundays which is time go to back to parents' place to visit for me, my parents are still healthy so they can help do some chores but when they are not so mobile i'd probably need a part-time maid to do housework coz by the time i reach home it's almost 9 liao then weekends need to do grocery shopping, accompany my parents out and meet up with friends, where got time to do chores?

Yes. 50% likely as Singapore working lifestyle is work until you die then you got chance to rest.
