I am getting cussed now by the Chinese on youtube, that I can't sing etc..and I sing everything wrong and they are down rating me..I am thinking of removing all my videos and not bothering any more. The less exposure, the less I will be ridiculed, my singing days I feel are over now. It was different when I was professional 15 odd years ago.
What do you think?

I am not an expert of singer and absolutely not an expert of chinese but if I remember well your video was absolutely good. You don't have to feel you ridiculed by the rating and leave your video there. This, obviously, is only my opinion. If you think rating is important on Youtube remove the video.

I understand what you are feeling, Yan. Like what I went through yesterday, an old woman attacked and ridiculed me on one of my discussion. I felt so bad that I posted another discussion announcing that I'm not going to post anymore thread. But the warm responses I received help me realized that I should still go on and not be afraid to show my true passion. Do you understand what I'm saying, Yan. There are still a lot of people who will show their support to you. Why not put your you tube in your own private blog and let your supporters viewed it privately. I have a site that I can recommend to you. I'm sharing some songs with a close friend. You know who I'm referring to. He will upload some Chinese songs for me to hear. PM me if you are interested. remember Yan, no matter how you sing, a true friend will not ridiculed you. Why...I can't even sing properly.

I'd suggest to keep on going, people will always the pi## for various reasons( jealousy/trying to intimidate opposition) but the skills you've gained in those 15 years should not be wasted. You will know when is the right time to 'quit' but I don't think that time is now.

They are only suffering with the same problem I currently have my friend in one word JEALOUSY. They don't have the guts to do it, so what's it got to do with them, until they can sing themselves, video it and put it up for the world to see, then they can go jump. Sorry to be blunt but who cares a damn what they think, your friends, me included enjoyed the videos you made and I know, in fact I absolutely KNOW that you enjoyed doing them and sharing them to your friends. These people who are they exactly? Do they mean squiddly dot? Exactly! Listen to the people that care not stupid people who have nothing better to do than to insult others, they are pathetic. You do what's right to YOU my friend x

I watched all three videos, and they were all good. But what a pity I don't understand. It would be nice if subtitles were also there. I didn't see bad comments but there were diverse opinions by diverse people. I think the song in the black suit is about some martial art. I myself am a Karate Black belter. The movements had a resemblance to Kung Fu.

Oh, Yan, stop listening to them! Let them cuss all they want. Who are they, anyway? Are they professionals that grade you? They are just ordinary people like you and me. As long as it makes you happy and contented, do not let them get to you. It's a normal thing on youtube, believe me.

Oh yanjiaren don't even pay attention to them. THere are always those who will find fault in everything that it's not for their own "glory".
YOu have a wonderful voice and even if I don't understand chinese I love to hear it.
Keep doing what you like to do and don't let them bother you. DOn't quit unless you really want to, and not because of them.
Hugs

I am Chinese and I think its pretty good. Ignore the youtube commenters. If you notice, most of them are immature kids.

I am late again as usual, but I think you should leave them up. I know its hard to ignore those people but you have got to try. You did those videos for your husband and your friends. Nobody elses opinion matters.

Don't be bothered with them. I am surprised enough that people would bother to leave comments lol. Just pretend they are your fans. ;-)
