I've never tried Windows Vista before but I've seen the OS before.
If you're looking for a great looks the Vista is definitely for you. Really fabulous more fabulous than XP.
But I've heard from my friends that to use Windows Vista you have to connect to internet very often to update the driver and everything.
So if you live in a country where the internet connection is below standard then you should stick to Windows XP. I live in Indonesia where Internet connection is still not good enough so personally I won't try to use Windows Vista for a couple more years at least until the connection is better.
So I definitely not recommend it if you live in a country such as mine. But I highly recommend it if your country have a good internet connection.

I have not tried it as of yet, however I am fixing to replace my desktop computer in the next couple of weeks, and plan to go with a vista home premium operating system. I have heard that there are many compatability issues with the system. Hopefully getting a desktop with it already preinstalled will let me find out if it will run the programs I need without problems before I install it on my laptop.
