My daughters 9th Birthday party is coming in a couple weeks, so I am in the midst of planning this event. I absolutley hate goodie bags, as I think most of the time they are filled with a bunch of useless stuff. I was wondering if anyone out there had any ideas out there for an alternative that I can send the kids home with at the end of the day. You input is appreciated :)

how about take a wacky picture of them with your daughter. . . with a polaroid camera. . .
or even a digital cam, just show it to them and just tell them to come back to have printed copy..that way they could be excited to come back. .
or if they'd just get it through email, then that's something for them to look forward to. . .

I did this last year for her party and it was a hit...the kids just loved it. I got each on of them to go and and get a picture with her as she was opening their gift. I then printed then and used them as thank you cards...writing our thank yous on the back. My daughter then got to hand deliver her thank you cards at school to each of her guest!!! Thanks for responding. Greatly apprecited :)))

You could buy inexpensive random presents, and wrap them and throw them in a bag, and when the child leaves, they can do like a grab bag and choose one, or you could make a craft at the party, and they can take that home...for my sons birthday we got a clown, and she did face painting and balloon animals...so the kids got to leave with those. Just be creative =)
