The Value of Appearance in Friendship

How much do you value a person's physical appearance, not just in relationships, but when choosing friends? Do you think it is true that groups of friends are generally similiar (for example, "average" people are friends with other "average" people) or is this complete nonsense?
How diverse is your group of friends?
This may seem like a shallow dicussion, but for me, it is hard to completely ignore how people look. Maybe you don't care at all about how your friends look, though?

I think physical appearance is one of the strongest points in high school friendship. Personally, I choose people who are just like me. That way I'm comfortable with it and the bond seems to last long.

Do you think this kind of thinking lasts outside of high school? Or do people usually change their minds once they get older?
Personally I think a lot of people tend to stay the same even when they grow older and "mature".

My mum loves food. As a kid, I remember getting her food she likes and I would get half of it. :D

no according to me physical appearance is not important for friendship.. the persons inner beauty is very importatn.. external beauty doesn help at any point in friendship.. the person should havea good heart and not necessarily good looks..
