Mylot Earnings

I don't spend that much time on mylot, I'm not on everyday, and yet the past two months in a row I've made about $35. I'm not really sure what I'm doing differently than everyone else. I don't have any active referrals (all mine signed up and then disappeared without ever being active) and I don't really upload images that often. So what am I doing that others aren't? I like to think it is the quality of my discussions and responses that make the difference, but some others who complain about not making much money also seem to be doing quality writing here. So to be honest, I don't know.

Yeah I find that in the end of the day it seems like I am getting paid significantly less on here than over at the competitors (CP - 3 cents guaranteed per-post) Anyway, I don't really know if there is any truth to the fact that pics help your earnings...maybe older people here know the real truth... But all I can say is don't complain - myspace doesn't pay...youtube doesn't pay (although revver and metacafe and brightcove do - lol)...mylot is like another soc community...but they pay...can't complain.

I also have not earned much. And have not been able to figure it out. I will not spend 8 hours a day to earn 75 cents lol. It seems silly. Maybe I am missing something as well!

Hi gpraveenkumar5! Like you a lot of mylotters including me about the earning criteria in mylot. I am at $5.19 now.I spend around 2-3 hrs maximum a day in mylot. As far as i am concerned i post 1-2 discussions a day, respond to all those who commented, respond to around 6-8 discussion in minimum 3 sentances or load images if suitable. My average earning is around $0.25.

I don't count the time that I use MyLot per day. It's always different. But I do respond to at least 10 discussions per day. You know, our earnings just decrease sometimes. There's nothing we can do about it. My advice is: try not to count the ammount you're earning per day. Why would you do that? Don't worry, someday you'll notice you already have 10 dollars! Try to count the number of replies, it's way better.

i think one should also have good referrals so that the earning becomes faster. i have two referrals but both of them are inactive.

Hi, In regards to your earnings yes well the best way to get your earnings up in mylot is to submit either 2-4 discussions every day and do around 50 responses everyday with a lot responding appropriately to the discussion then you should be earning a lot more than what you are receiving now as for myself my earnings are normally over $1.00 every day and some days I reach more I would say close to $2.00 for the day and I am very pleased with that. I do not know how many friends you have on your friends list but it is good to let that grow to around 100 so that you can hopefully receive more people responding to your discussions and this also helps.

I guess its the length of your response...and the numbers of response you get it discussions started... Me, most of the time when i respond to some discussions... I make it 10-15 lines per topic... I earn more there and also I add some new friends here and response to their discussions started, in return they response to mine... You find it a lot easy to add comments to the response of your friends since you've been comfortable exchanging views...Discussions with comments earn more I guess based on my experience... Find also a lot of referrals that you think will be active in mylot...you will earn 25% of their earnings... I spend 2-3 hours in mylot and earn $0.95-1.5 per day... I dont usually add images to my post but they say that it gives more earnings... I dont know.

i don't know how much we earn per post,but i do know that we can't be rich just by being on mylot.so now i don't care how much i earn,i just feel happy to post things and exchange things with others.i earned little,by now i just got 32 cents,but never mind,i will keep trying,and month after month,i will get my first 10 dollars,i don't know when,maybe 6 months later. i think if you respond to around 30 a day,you will get your 10 dollars soon,don't worry.

Hi gpraveenkumar5! I try to log in everyday and spend at least 3 hours responding to discussions, posting comments to those who have responded to the discussions I have started and I have only uploaded photos twice. I have no active referrals as well so I basically do everything on my own here and I have $8.48 as of last night. The most that I have earned in one is around $.70-.80 a day and it doesn't get lower than $.10. The other day I only have less than 6 posts and I earned $.19. MyLot considers the quality of our post when they pay us. So you have to make sure that you post good quality responses and discussions not just for the sake of increasin the number of your posts cos that won't make any difference whether you have 100 posts or 500 posts as long as its with sense. Try to download photos once in a while, it helps too. Being a member here for a month, I'm quite OK with what I have earned cos I wasn't really that active during the first week of my being a member here. So, I'll just catch up with everybody. well i think maybe you are lacking something. because i work for just two hours these days as my exams are approaching. i am able to post around 10-13 posts and iget anywhere in between 27-30 cents a day. once i had done 24 posts and had got 45 cents. once i had posted only 3 posts and still i got 15 cents. what i mean to say is that if you are not moving above 25 cents after that much hard work, there is certainly something wrong. although i admit you can't get riches here, but then even an amount of 80-90$ in a month is not impossible. i guess you change the way you post your responses and then see if that makes any change. best of luck.

I thing your both missing something :) And the thing is that you can't make money tru mylot. I think that mylot pays to member only to have their time reading stuff. And once the members discover that mylot is not all about earning money they got all right. That thing with the money is one nice gift for you for being loyal to mylot and spend your time here but nothing more i thing.. Focuss on helping ppl answer their questions be possitive and don't thing so much about the money. money is not everything,i come here to communicate my thought with others,i think it is truly helpful to me.if you really want to earn money, you'd better try other ways.

Just about the only way you "earn" more with mylot is to get referrals. Otherwise you need to make sure your responses are "good quality" and I believe you can't reap any benefits from uploading images until you have reached either 300 or 500 posts...the number escapes me. Don't miss the tool that your profile can be. Use the html area to put your other places that you would like to get referrals for, post links to your content around the web, etc. I don't know about anyone else, but I hate having people on my friends list who spam instead of just putting their referral links on their profile.

I don't think you have to feel frustrated by the earning you've got so far. Such things happen to many people like you and me. I used to post more than 18 posts and got less than $0.30. Now I learn to take it easy and look at the earning as a fun that add interest to my work here.

Dear gpraveenkumar5 I guess to earn more here you need to know the technique first .. Just go through the threads of higher ranking members .. ever noticed they used to get more than 100 responses on their discussions.. Why?? Have u ever tried to see what is written in their discussions?? It has sooo simple language and very easy to understand .. and can make anyone to respond on it.. Also just look the way they respond to other members posts .. look the quality inside their posts .. uploading images matters .. u will earn more by uploading images -- even I am earning a little bit more that's y telling you. Always maintain quality .. learn from other members .. higher ranking members post is like a diamond here .. I always learn new things from them. Just concentrate on the quality of your posts .. because quality matters the most here:) .. Hope u will earn more and more here .. enjoy my dear friend and happy mylotting:)

I also do the same. I also post 20-30 daily. but avarage pay is only 10-15 cents. anybody has any idea how to check the rating and how to improve the earning. I can see people posted more than 1000s. How many days they will take to complete that?

yeah me too... why is that..? i thought we could earn like a dollar per post..
