What are you doing to become a better person?

What constitutes a good person and what are you doing to become one. I am a bad person who wants to become good so I want to know.

i am doing volunteer work at the municipal school in the evening, not much just watching the kids as they come out of school and helping them cross the road safely and get in their respective buses....it was started by the residents of the locality and all are expected to turn up for the work .....we have a team of ten adults and teen agers going every evening there and managing the kids during the heavy traffic, the shifts change every week...

It is always in the eyes of the beholder ie as per the norms of society. I dont think any person is bad in his own eyes, it is only when judged by the manmade moral standards that you become bad.
