Sweet or Stalker-Material?

I was riding a bus home when the guy beside me struck up a conversation. He introduced himself and I found no harm in giving out my real name and during the course of things, I mentioned the company I worked for. We parted without him asking for my number, but a few days later, I got a call at work from him. It turns out he called up the company trunk line and asked for my name. A week later, I heard my friend talking about this guy who started talking to her while she was in a bookstore. Turns out the same guy had done exactly the same thing for her and actually called her up the same way that he called me. What do you think? Was it a smooth move, or should I never give away my whole name to a total stranger again? hahaha I think I'm leaning toward the latter option. Give me a piece of your mind guys!
