"I don't care" why does that drive me crazy?

Lately, whenever I ask someone what they want to do -- where they want to go, or what they want to eat, etc. -- they just answer "I don't care". This really bugs me! How can someone have no preference? Usually, I try to just go along with what the crowd wants to do, or a guest in my home. But who can really have no opinion? Do you answer like this as well? Or does it bother you, too?

oh, I get that one, too. Now I'm just doing what I want to do, all the time. I've decided it's silly to go through this whole rigmarole. If someone doesn't like my suggestion, they should just come up with their own instead of shooting mine down.

That is also what I hear when I ask my husband what he wants to eat for supper. He says, " I don't care". I am thinking well, I really don't either but I cannot decide what to eat and I do not know what sounds good to him or what he wants. I get burnt out on the same old food but when I ask what he wants, it is always I don't care so we end up eating the same old things. It drives me crazy when he could at least mention something good to eat that we all may want and I will even fix it.

exactly! Often I can only think of what we've eaten/where we've gone lately. Then we do it all over again, lol. The best is when they say "I don't care" and then I propose something and it gets shot down.

This drives me crazy too! I am always getting this answer! I get it the most from my husband, he hardly ever has an opinion about what to do or where to eat. Then when I make a suggestion he usually says no, not there... I get mad and tell him well than CHOOSE something! LOL!

I absolutely hate the PHRASE !!
When a person utters this phrase it indicates to me
that he/she is a NOTHING.
I usually get into a debate over it.
