so far i've only seen four members of akatsuki fight (itachi, kisame, sasori and deidara) to those four member itachi is definitely the strongest and i guess he's the second to their leader, even if those three combine their ability against itachi they will be defeated... itachi is very talented, and what makes him more dangerous is that he cares about nothing.

FYI, its not atsuke it akatsuki. in every group the leader is always the strongest. not unless, the strongest has a great respect to the leader that he only follows order. We haven't seen all of the abilities of all members, so i will go for itachi.

In atastuki?? Umm i would say Itachi mainly because he can use his sharingan and create some very powerful Genjutsus, i havent seen all of atatsuki's members but i have seen sasori, deidara, itachi and kisame fighting so i would say from them itachi is stronger but there could be someone stronger!
