Should I leave myLot?

take a break, that's what I have done :) I was sick of getting attack for my views, like I posted something under attachment parenting, and some people got huffy about it when they know nothing about attachment parenting. Someone just got into the cloth diaper section and posted some stupid things about what they don't know-I swear the internet is full of idiots!

Hello.callarse,I can understand your feeling,I have alot of people requesting me to be my friend,they may also have one line discussions,i will not deny them through as i do not want to make them unhappy.My replies have been copied by someone but other members helped me to report him and the problem has veen resolved.I have to agree with you mylot may not do enough to the reporet system. I have a lot of friends which do not reply to me ,but it is not really important as I am here to have fun,as long as i can find something good to reply and i get some good replies occasionally,i will be happy. Money may be a motivation but it is definitely not the only one,it does not make a difference if i earn 1 dollar or 60 cents in one day,but i will enjoy the time when i am here. There are alot of people copy and paste other's discussions and replies,it is something we cannot control,mylot is already the best in terms of quality of discussions as i have been to other sites before and found out how 'good' those discussions were. Anyway.good luck.

Just look at the world around you. How many bad things do you see. Terrorism, thuggery, robbery, murder, corruption, extortion are just a few. So what will you do about it. Are you going to leave it. Either you have to fight it, or you have to ignore it. The best thing is to leave things to the authorities and set an example by not joining the imperfection in the world. The same thing goes with mylot.

Well I get irritated with the copy and paste cheaters too, how annoying. I report them. As far as one liners, I just ignore them. No way you can police all of them. As far as your friends, maybe with the warmer weather now they are just more busy or outside more!!! I answer yoru discussions when I see ones that I can contribute to! Bekki

Well, you don't have to accept everyone who asks to be your friend. You seem to think that if you reply to one of your friends discussions then that puts them under some sort of obligation to respond to yours. I don't think that's the case, I'll respond to one of my friends discussions if (and only if) it's of some relevance or interest to me. Is not relevant discussion the whole reason for all of this? I think that if a comment is not relevant to the discussion and has only been made in order to score a point, then it's just a waste of time and will always get - rated from me.

I think you should do what you feel is best. If being on Mylot is making you sad and upset, then go. No one else can really tell you what's best, it's you who knows what's best.

I dont think you should leave mylot, you obviously enjoy it and yes i too am annoyed with all these friend requests and what not but i look past them and i enjoy talking to people about a big selection of topics and you seemingly enjoy this too so why give up something you love? Stay i can sense that you do so i say STAY! :)

If you love mylot then of course you shouldn't leave it! If you don't like some people ignor them and don't have them as friends. I am wondering about the rules? How do you mean people break the rules?

It is not a good idea to leave mylot just because you feel that you are being let down. I too have many friends that dont respond to my discussions. They have their reasons why they are unable to reply. You have to remember they have their own friends as well. It is not that our discussions are not interesting or we are not popular, it is just that the timing is not right. Dont give up easily and keep on mylotting. Cheers.

it is foolish to have such thought,most of members have little responses to their discussion,you see most of the discussion subject have little responses,but we are like to go to mylot to discussion with our friends,earning money is not the frist aim,and also the responses are depend on your subject quality.

Hey callarse! I guess the best thing to do is to encourage the good people to participate more and to report and rate everything we see. We must remember that we all have our share on keeping it clean. It's like on WikiPedia. The quality content-posters watch and take care of their interests pages so the vandals can't ruin everything. MyLot is a GREAT site and we should keep it like that. Reporting and rating are what have now so we should use them, right? Also, for your "friends", rate them -, report the discussions and delete the "friendship". That will help your window to be cleaner. ^^ Cheers!

I am very new to myLot and am still learning the ropes. You sound like an experienced and honest user, though, and I hope you and those like you stick around to teach us "newbies" the ropes.

I do not let things like this bother me. I do what I like to do, wich is discussing and meeting new people. I usually answewr friends discussion, but i can not reply to them all, coz they all do not interest me., I report users that i see abuse the system, and I do not accept friends that hasnt replied to ATLEAST one of my discussions before requesting to be my friend. I do love mylot and I try to take it for what it is. With this many members there is always gonna be people trying to cheat the system and trying to annoy other people, but as long as you are doing your thing - dont let it bother u!

never do that cuz maybe not in a month not in two , three or the whole year but atleast in 5 years youll earn 10 $ lol but keep that in mind if you have nothing to do just pass your time here thats it ;)

Why leave something that you obviously enjoy because of other people? Don't let others drive you away. Just respond to discussions that interest you - start disucssions on things that you feel are important to you and if people answer - so be it - if they don't then go on anyway. I never think about the money aspect. I respond when I think my response fits and if I know something about it. I never think about how much money I am going to make. That in itself is a good way to not be posting rubbish just for the sake of posting to earn. I haven't reported anyone. I figure let them get on with it - they will eventually get tired of it. As long as they aren't bothering me I am OK with that.

Leaving My lot for these small reasons is not a good and mature decission.We are here to kill some of our time by involving in discussions and get to know more peoples What other peoples do is not our concern and it should not be.Cause it is not our work to look around for other users what they are doing as if they are repeating discussions,abusing,not using my lot properly ,cheating and vise versa.Why are you bothering yourself it is not your task to think about these things and leave this place for no particular reason.I do not think you should leave.
