How many of you smoke in your house around your children?????

I am now 49 years old, and I don't smoke in my house anymore. I go into the garage now to smoke and this hs been a good way for me to really cut down on my smoking. I used to smoke a packa a day, now i only smoke a pack every four days. When my kids were young, I smoked in the house with them there. They know more about smoking now and say it's bad to smoke in fornt of them, when my kids were young they never said it was bad for them. Now I will not smoke around any kids at all. I will go outside to smoke if I'm in someone's house that children are present, even if the parents smoke in front of them. My daughter is your age and has no kids yet. She smokes very little, about a pack a week. My son is 32 years old and has no kids yet, either, although they are trying. He doesn't smoke and never has. They say parents who smoke have kids that smoke. So not only is it not good for their health to smoke in front of them, but it's not a good idea because they will probably end up being smokers too.

It is not good and adviceable to smoke in house especially when the children are around, if the children smoke later in life don't let it be from you that they will inherit the smoking habit. How does it feel when you lit your cigrette and your children also lit theirs, as you can see it is not polite and to my thinking it is not ideal and can also cause air pollution to the neighbour.

When I smoked I never smoked in the house or around my daughter. I always went outside to smoke. I don't think it's right to smoke in front of your child and expose them to second hand smoke! PurpleTeddyBear.

I am smoking, but I never smoke in door with kids around. No one can smoke in my house with kids around. I will directly tell my friends about this, if they really want, we will go out to smoke in the garden. If I'm in others home who do not care about this, I will try to perduage them no to smoke, if they still do that, I will lead the kids out, but this happens rarely, since my friends know smoking is bad for the healthy.
