Fortified breakfast cereals can help ensure that you get enough vitamins and minerals, but now the Food and Drug Administration is warning that they can add up to too much goodness. The FDA tested 26 cereals and found that the majority contained more iron and folic acid that was listed on the label. What's more, men are likely to eat two and a half times the recommended serving of one bowl, so that's a lot of vitamins and minerals if you take a multi-vitamin as well. Too much iron can cause build up in the blood and increase your risk of cancer and heart disease. Don't go so far towards nutrition that you end up harming yourself more than helping!
