Mount Saint Helens

I lived in Oregon when it blew. I remember we were having a bbq outside and it started raining ash and I remember I had a bowl of ice cream and ash landed in it, I was like... What is this?? and the sky got really dark, and it rained ash for a few days....you had to stay inside because it was such a mess. And we we a couple hundred miles away! A few years ago I lived about 30 minutes from St. Helens and it was terrifying we had a couple of earthquakes from activity and they even made everyone evacuate. I thought, great it going to explode and I'll be incinerated by molten lava...as you see it didn't but it always made me nervous looming out my back window... never liked the feeling of being so close to it.
