when you want to be a nurse it should came from your heart not by forcing ypur body to do it, but in some cases you will learn to like nursing. im a nursing student, hopefully 3rd year this june, at first i had no choice what course to take up, most of my friends and schoolmates are going to nursing then i chose nursing my parents like it too, during my first year i just taught of studying just to pass but now when i experience serving people i become more interested to finish my course and planning to be a doctor to help more people, but to tell you nursing is not like other professions, in this course there is no room for mistakes because life of your patients are at stake if you have mistakes. after hard works and sleepless nights at the end of the day you will still feel fulfilled and happy.

THANK YOU for your sugesstions and sharing the experience of being a nurse with me.You must be a hearted ,kind ,conscientious person.Just as me ,now I study in a medical college.Studying in the major of oral cavity .At beginning of studying I haven't like it .But with about one year's learning I find I come to the major ,I have love it gradually .
In the course of study ,I run into some difficuties, and I keep telling to myself:"DON'T GIVE UP ! DON'T GIVE UP!"
Because I have no experience , to be a good docter must make a great effort.heehee .Also I need you share your own experience with me .

If she really doesnt like it... then I suggest she change her major then, before she wastes more of her parents money and her time. And nursing is an extremely hard and depressing profession... but it is fulfilling too. You would have to love(or at least like) it if you want to suceed in this line of work. Tell her if she doesnt really like it she should just try some other major she likes because she wont be happy if she proceeds with nursing with that attitude.. :) aWell hehehe send her my regards... Best luck and Blessed be.. hehehehe :D

Tell your friend to do the work that she enjoys. If she's bored then ask her to go on a holiday for few days.
Most of us get bored with the normal life and it's hard for us to stay anymore at home and do sing the same siren song.
So, i advice her to go on a holiday if she's bored
or if she don't like the current career. ask her to step on the career she enjoys. Then never feel like going to work on the other day!.
Tell her that life doesn't has any break. Life continues.... and we people jsut need to do something even if we don't like it.
Regards
Nitin

Nursing is a noble profession that required passion to do the job as it is long hours and need to work shift plus you will deal with different type of people in the course of work (customer service skill is required at time). Without passion, it will be difficult for her to sustain as a carrer.
She might want to re consider her option and changes to a different course.

Hi, I am a nurse but I understand how your friend feels. At first I am also hesitant with my course, not that I am afraid of blood or hospitals or something but I just don't feel like doing it although my parents pushed me towards that course. Eventually, I came to love nursing. There's a certain feeling of pride and joy as soon as you'll become a full pledged nurse. =)
Tell your friend to enjoy and have fun with nursing! It might not be her favorite ting to do, but it sure is rewarding. *wink
