i am a badminton pLayer and i can say that i do good in it.. now about the issue, may i just ask first how taLL are you and how Long are your arms? aLL you have to do is anticipate where the shuttLecock would be dropping.. considering the angle where it wouLd drop, Lets just say it goes on your forehand side, if youre not that taLL, then jump at a certain height (estimate the height where the racket wouLd go in contact with the shuttLecock) and hit it with your arms stretched so that the impact wouLd be more powerfuL..

I m a badminton player n i am playing since the age of 10 yrs. and i am very famous for my backhand returns n smashes. For hitting a good smash u need to have one of the two things.Either you have a good height or you have a good reach that is good stepping. If u have any one of these you'll automatically be able to hit a good smash n if u don't have any than what u have to do is somehow get behind the shuttle n hit with full strength in front of your forehead at a angle 45-60 degrees.Try it out n do let me know didi it help you.
