there's always a human streak in us which screams "freeloader". we all love it when we see the word "free". the greatest thing that i got for free was a full meal, buffet meal to be exact, from my classmate. i love food and therefore i really enjoyed that buffet meal. i knew that it was quite an expensive fee to shoulder a buffet but since my classmate was rich and she offered on her own will, i obliged. :) so,what was the greatest thing you got for free? :)

Thats nice! Free is great almost in anything. Me and my honey once had a date and we were waiting more than 15 minutes (that was the time they said everything will be served)... we waiting around 45 minutes, but we didnt mind because we were enjoying our conversation. The restaurant gave us a lot of complimentary like drinks, appetizers, extra dips, and more extra. Its nice accomodations. :) free additional food. :)

Best in value? Best at the time? Most memorable? The most memorable was when my family and another decided to go to a popular Italian resteraunt. Since the other couple also had two children, we were seated in an area away from the main floor with lots of room for four high chairs. Initially, the waiter came and took our order alright, but never delivered our drinks. To pass the time, we were engaged in some interesting conversation. After about a half hour, we flagged the waiter and asked about our drinks and meal. He said he'd be out in a few. He forgot the drinks but did bring the kids food. So, we continued with our conversation. Another 1/2 hour passed, and we started taking bets on who was going to get served. All of the sudden, a waiter comes running out of the kitchen with a plate on fire. Well, that got our attention and were laughing so hard because that was probably our food. If we weren't having a good time, we'd probably already have left. Anyway, a new waiter came out and asked if we'd be nice enough to pay the bill and leave so other customers could be seated. Laughing, I asked to speak to the manager. I couldn't believe this. We ordered, didn't get our food, and we are being asked to pay and then leave! The manager came, and asked if everything was alright? Well, the kids are fed, but we weren't and we still didn't get our drinks and we were asked to leave! We weren't angry, just confused. Well, somedays you just have a bad day and this was one for the manager. His head waiter quit along with a cook. Yes, the flaming food was ours, and he agreed that the new waiter was out of line. So, he decided to make it up to us. We could order anything on the menu and the only thing we'd have to pay for was the drinks. Great...free upgrade! Laughing, we decided to order the most extravagant food that we'd like...I believe most of us choose seafood. Well, the order was still messed up, but we weren't going to complain. The manager came out again, and we were having such a good time and being good sports about being in a resteraunt for over two hours and not getting served...he was quite embarrassed over the incident, so he sent the new Head Waitress to offer "free deserts" (one for each of the table-four adults and four kids. What took us by surprise was our first order finally arrived (boxed), and each of the deserts was a whole pie/cake!. Again, we called the manager over to see if this was a mistake, and he said it wasn't. Since we've been in the resteraunt for so long, and the kids were starting to get sleepy (correct observation), he thought he'd save us the trouble of packing everything up. Our bill? $8. The new meals $120, the old meal $75, and the deserts $220. The fun we had was priceless...Me and the other father actually argued over who would pay the bill (for fun of course...).

I think the best thing that I ever recieved for free was my U.S. citizenship, its something that I take for granted but I know that I am very fortunate to have been born here. Especially since you see people risking their lives to come here and leaving everything they know for freedom.
