What made you select the AVATHAR......

I simply chose my avatar because it is a picture of my favourite band and because i have the same picture in poster form on my wall, so i may as well keep the theme going :P I found mine from looking on the net, i didnt take a picture of the poster on my wall :P Although i could have. If i was to change my avatar i would probably change it to another band picture, perhaps The Used or Taking Back Sunday. I think that if you have an avatar and start discussions, the avatar simply adds to the presentation of that discussion and yes i suppose it gives a bit more of an attraction side. Though i will still go to discussions that the starter does not have an avatar.

i belive yes avatars may impose ones outlooks and thoughts it is how you are going to represent yourself to others,so mostly i like avatars more than your photo,not because it may not be beautiful for someone but it makes thing much more safe and,what really matters is not ones figure or buty but ones attitude and ideas .so it is likely that a person accepting a suggesion might look for an avatar and an answering style similar to ones thoughts.thats why we usually see,people of the same age group normally liking to be chatting more than any other age group.thats not because of the age but of similar ideas and experiance.your avatar is beautiful enough.i cant see it clearly who the charecter is,but if im not mistaken its robin hood,which depicts your charecter to be honest and righteous to matters.as you see my avatar is garfield,but for me that caption really suits,cause im a cool man with pride,and also i love the charecter garfield naturally.i believe people to make their decesions more carefully and not running into a decisions blind. I'M NOT ALWAYS RIGHT,BUT IM NEVER WRONG

Hi aliyaa, I too am enjoying all of the cool avatars on here, and find myself more drawn to discussions where the person has an avatar. Mine is a photo of my cat Anna Belle, and since this is my first time on a site like this, I thought it'd be nice to put my pet's photo here. She's very special to me. I like yours too, by the way. I have no particular fascination for avatars. I change it quite often. For this I rely on my stock photographs stored in 'my computer' profile. I don't that catchy avatars do invite more responses.

I got mine from an e-mail that someone sent me. It sure is alot nicer to look at a picture, instead of that green thing that you get. I think green and purple look so good together that's why I liked this one. Not that I dress like that or anything.

Hi Aliyaa, In regards to my avatar, I choose mine as I love the sea and dolphins to me are special creature of the sea that is the reason I choose my avatar. I do think that you could be right that our avatars can attract more people to our discussions.

I simply used a photo of myself, as I didn't think at the ime. I guess I could have looked for a lovly cat picture. Some people like to see what the My Lotter really looks like, so I don't think I will change mine now.

I will not say avtars can attract more responses. But avtars will attract more people to our profile and if curious add us as friend, which eventually may turn to responses. You are from my same country and state. So you know what my avtar is. It is a performing 'Katakali' artist. Katakali is a classical dance drama of Kerals. It is our cultural pride. So I selected it. I believe it is attractive also.

i think i chose my avatar depending on what i was feeling and what i was thinking at that time. it might attract some people for more discussions. but the simpler i want it the better.

I might use a picture of myself, had I a good one to use. I bought a $20 webcam awhile back, but as it turns out, I got what I paid for. :( My mother actually has an orange tabby named Killer. And that's exactly what he is! Two weeks after my first hand surgery, I stayed overnight at my parents' house, and went to SF early the next morning to have my stitches removed. Killer was a kitten then, and loved to play. I wouldn't let him touch my left hand, but I let him wrestle with my right all day. He left it looking like the body of Christ. :P

Sometimes someones avatar does stick out more then someone elses. I will go an look at their discussion. I picked my avatar because I love sunsets,hearts, and yellow roses. I thought that this avatar suited my personality. I use to have one of one of my dogs but I didn't think that it was fair to the other two dogs.

I got mine from an online graphics site. I chose it because I have an online store called PackratsCorner. The little guy just looked like he fit with the name. Nothing to fancy!

hi, i chose mine simply because it is the logo for a particular fashion label i like, and think it looks good too lol! about attracting people, yeah i guess sub-conciously avatars will encourage people to respond to discussions, for example if you see an avatar of a beautiful girl it may encourage men to respond.... but personally if i see an interesting avatar, i usually think "hmm this person must be interesting, there discussion is likely to be interesting, i'll read it"

Interesting discussion! Selecting one's Avatar depends upon one's personal choice. Most of the members who are my friends..., I have noticed do not use their real photographs. But selection of 'Avatar' will surely reveal something about a member. Eg some of them use pictures of animals as 'avatar'. Some of the members use flowers and wonderful scenery. Some of the use celebrities pictures. Your avatar is good one. I do not think that avatar attract more people to reply to my discussions. It is the contents of my discussions...which attract or lure others to post their replies. I donot think anybody will reply to my discussions, just because he/she liked my Avatar (exceptions may always be there). As far as selecting my own avatar, I love the picture of baby, coz it denotes innocence and purity and honesty...and I believe I am somewhat like that, therefore I selected the laughing Baby's picture as my Avatar. And many of my friends have appreciated it. deepak

I have two avatars that I use on different sites (not counting my Yahoo! avatar and my Zwinky). I just search until I find one that pleases me. There are a lot on avatarity.com and another site I found on Zango, but can't remember that URL. I find many interesting to look at, but they wouldn't attract me to anyone's discussion more.

I created mine using an image editor and a software for converting movies into a series of images. It's from the japanese animation Bleach. I liked her character and she's really cute. She's so cute i decided to use her as an avatar in the forums in order to project my true image which is a happy person ready to make new acquaintances.

My avatar says "Never Crazy" in Japanese. I thought that, combined with the white devil cat, it was cute. Never Crazy is also the name of a Japanese indies band, now disbanded.

Yes avathars can attract some pupils. But not completely. I am using my own photo. But somany using some type of cartoons. Many of us think that avathar of a lady will attract every body too much. But it is true to a certain extend. Foreseeing this many added ladies photo. Its just like some business tricks. But i am forward minded person that is why i added my own photo as avathar.
