Do you believe in destiny?

I believe kinda. We have lucky times and unlucky times. You know somebody and get married. I believe that's destiny in our life. But I still believe we could get a change from destiny, fight for what I want, work harder, make better move......

We had a huge debate in my Philosophy class on this subject. Half of the class believed and the other didn't. My response was if there was a destiny, we wouldn't know, and if we made a choice that would affect destiny, then would that still be a destiny that was preordained? To me, it doesn't matter. You are talking about the future, you have to live in the present with the knowledge of the past. This is something we either can't change, or can change but you will never know.

No, I don't believe in destiny. I believe that we are free to choose the paths that we take. I do believe that every decision we make dictates the circumstances for the next decision. The things we do shape the way that our life turns out. Every now and then we are faced with a major decision that can lead us into a whole new direction...and sometimes it is an undesirable path. It is all about cause and effect.

i don't think destiny is true, if there is destiny then it's you who is making your destiny..not some fate or whatever you call it.

i do NOT believe in it but i think it only exist if you believe in it, such as you think your destiny is to die getting hit by a car then you J walk and you see a red car coming towards you, then your going to think "it's my destiny to die this way" then bam you die EVEN THOUGH you had enough time to jump to the side and dodge the car
