When did your children start sleeping through the night? what are your bedtime routines? my little girl is 4 months and i think shes nearly there, shes on 4 8 oz bottles in 24 hours she has a bottle at around 10 then for some reason wakes up for an oz in the middle of the night altho when daddy is home she sleeps through from 10pm to 6 or 7.30

My 6 month old has a voracious appetite, she eats 6 ounces every three hours. Lately though she wakes up at 11 and then up at around 2:30PM or 3:00PM for a full bottle and then not again until 7:00AM. I figure it's not too bad, she was waking three times during the night to eat!

I was really lucky with my first, he more or less slept straight through from the start. He only ever woke up once during the night and at 6 weeks, he was sleeping right through. My second, however, was a bit more difficult! He would wake up a lot but then settled into a pattern of waking about every 3 hours and wanted to get up at 5am. When they were babies, I would always put them in their bed at 9pm and gradually made it earlier when they began to sleep longer. Now, my children are 7 and 2. My oldest goes to bed any time between 8.30 and 10pm depending whether it's a school day. My 2 year old has just started going up at 8pm because he doesn't want to go up at 7 like he has been doing.
