Do you believe in positive over negative?

Do you have a strong enough will to try and break through all barriers of negativity that may hold you back? Do you know that retreating for short periods sometimes is beneficial in winning the war? I am learning to balance both these points. To be a fighter and not to quit, but also to learn to stand back when it is wise to. What is your view on this?

I am not a fighter, barbie. I am a wizard too caught up in my own ravings to know what is real and what is not. And no, my mama doesn't need to get me a girl. :P

Sera, thank you for your comment.
From what I understand, this discussion was started by yanjiaren whom I affectionately call "barbie". You do not understand it and feel it is out of context. I agree - but that's only to you. Yanjiaren will understand it - I am responding to her discussion so I wrote my comments for her. I don't expect anyone else to understand it.
Cheers.

I think the biggest hurdle is to develope the awareness of knowing when you are thinking negatively. Negative thoughts can be so subtle, that they often pass by unnoticed. Therefore, there is no way to change what you are not aware of. It takes persistent vigilence to recognize negative thinking and thoughts. I am not sure about standing back, other than standing back and observing the thoughts that are coursing through your mind. If you are going to balance an equal amount of positve and negative, what you end up with is neutrality. In my view, nothing will change from negative to positive unless the positive becomes the dominant force of thought.

Balance is indeed very important, and you are doing great in know when to do one thing or another.
I tend to believe in positive over negative even when it doesn't look like it's possible.
Learning when to retreat is one of the most important things in any battle, but many people confuse it with quitting, which couldn't be further from the truth. It's just a strategy that can actually help win the battle:)

yin vs. yang, positive vs. negative...all of us face it in everyday ,all our lives.many a time negative forces win...no matter how tough you are.so it's wiser to be like a bamboo tree which bows down when storm is fiecre only to rise again when winds blowing normal.I'm not a super hero but i struggle every moment with all thats negative around or inside me.thats what which makes life more challenging and interesting.

I try very hard to keep positive, and most times I am able to do it. Finding the retreat time is harder for me. I do believe that if I give up, I have defeated myself. I had a nice small retreat yesterday, I took a nap. I t did wonders for the rest of my day.

I try be a positive person and the most of the times I'm.I thing my bigger help comes from my stubborn head so even if the negativity visit me I don't let it control me.I'm too stubborn to do it.I stand up and keep going with the positive thought that everything will be fine at the end.

we all have to try to make poitive over negative as well as we could and God is the only one that can actually help. some that believe in positive may think they are having afield day but when the outcome burst they always lose.

Hi, yan. I am sorry for all the bad luck that has befallen you as of late. But, as you had suggested above, believing in being positive over the negative is always a good thing. I am quite sure all those things that are bugging you now will go away in the near future. Don't worry about the delay. We all know that you are not a scammer, and your reputation is far more valuable than all the money in the world. Just believe in yourself, have faith, and be strong.
Here's a big hug for my big sis :)

I have a strong will to try and break through the negative barriers in my life but it isn't easy to do at all. It seems there is always soemthing out there to hold us all back. I try to be patient also because the old saying is, good things come to those who wait. I am a true fighter and I do not give up on anything unless there is something better that comes along for me to strive for in my life.

LOL, yan, I don't know really. I tried to stay positive. But a lot of negatives are lurking around me lately. Didn't I PM you and said that I need to hike off for a while. No matter how you try to fight, it is always better to quit when what what you're fighting for is not going anywhere.

my view is i totally agree with you. it's perfect for a simple message and it got through me straight.
If i may, WINNERS NEVER QUIT, QUITTERS NEVER WIN.
