Today I saw for the first time a show called "What not to wear". I saw two ladies transform other two ladies with make-up and clothes. The older ladies were resistant and stubborn at first, but later gave in and agreed to wear colourful clothes and make-up and the transformation was astounding. What surprised me was the confidence and smile on their faces. Then I wondered, really can a little make-up and clothes make you feel more confidant. When you are not happy with your own nude body, covering it with beautiful clothes make you happy with the body? You will be the same person, you will be looking at yourself without the clothes, then how do you get the confidence? Anyone has the answer?

I think it's cool if someone wants a few tips that might help them boost their self confidence about how they look... but I don't agree with showing how "bad" someone looked before and then showing them what they have "turned into".
The reason that I don't agree with it is because most of the time, I think they look more beautiful simply because of their confidence, rather than the new clothes or makeup. I would like to think that it's probably just the fuss they have recieved about how good they look that makes them shine. So if someone can make themselves feel confident and beautiful about who they are, then they don't need fancy clothes or accessories to look good. They just need to know that they DO look good.
If you put a beautiful person in old rags, I think they will still look beautiful. But if you put a person that always sneers and is never happy with themselves in the most beautiful clothes ever, I think that they will still be sneering and unhappy.

I like watching that show, it's amazing to see how many people are out there with no sense of fashion what so ever.
