I wouldn't worry too much about your star rating Eykah. This seems to be happening to a lot of people. Mine went down to nine for a while but at last, I have it back to ten. How long it remains there is to be seen but at least I made it back up. A friend of mine's star dropped from the ten it had just risen to, down to a six, in twenty-four hours. But, he's trying hard to bring it back up again. Don't despair. It's best to just grit your teeth and work a little harder if you really want it to rise to nine again.

If I were you, I will stop worrying too much on your star. I once been upset about my star dropping to 9. But I'm so numbed with it already. Our star have a life of its own. Sometimes, it will go up and at times, go down. Try to respond to quality, well-thought and meaningful discussions. There seems to be a lot of bizarre things going on around here at mylot.

Initially I used to care for stars. Now i stopped worrying about it. It is a hard nut for me that my star colour and rating is constant from past 80 days.

It happened to me too! I think that it is my fault, since I had written just a response or two on the day before: I was too tired I had to work a lot and I could not sleep well and long. I think that you should not be angry for this, it is sufficient you continue as you did and you'll soon get the 9 stars back again (and even more)! be happy! my lot is fun.

I share that same disappointment...my rating of 10 did not survive even just for a day..I got it in the morning; at noontime it was down to an 8! Of course, I started to ask why, nobody seemed to know the answer. Well, I promised myself that come hell and high water, I will still do what I need to do: post real good discussions, and respond sensibly to discussions. However, I'm just sorry to have posted discussions which have been discussed over and over again. I'm new here, so I realized it only lately. Hope to contribute to real good discussions from this time on...

It is because degradation of your posting quality only. You have not maintained the quality of responding constantly. Thats why your star rating went down. Don't worry it will come up very soon if you keep posting with quality and facts. I have never been down rated till date. I take care of rules etc. May be in future. Let us hope for better. You need not to feel sad because of this. it happens with lot of people here. You are one of them. You will receive similar comments here below by such sufferers. Be positive always.

I'm sorry to hear that your star rating went down. Mine does the same thing. I don't blame you for being disappointed for your star rating. I would be also. I'm not here at Mylot just for the star rating either but it does get quite frustrating when we see our rating go down when we try so hard. I spend alot of time in Mylot every day and I try very hard to do a good job here, so I don't know why the rating goes up and down all of the time.
