I'm not understanding this at all.

I think it is because of the short postings. I loved your jokes. I like the joke but I was wondering if when you posted jokes if you could ask people to tell you some jokes also, that way you can get some responses. I find when I read some of the discussions I do not know how to respond so I do not respond nor to I rate them positive nor negatively.

You are very lucky if you only lost one point. You said ALL of the jokes were deleted I wonder why you did not lose a point for each one. I have seen from other postings that people have lost points for jokes. It seems that periodically they (mL) clears out the jokes, especially the one liners. That is why I very seldom respond to jokes anymore.

Mylot is funny that way.....some people can post joke after joke and get credited for it everytime but others post them and they delete them....be careful

I posted a joke for the first time yesterday and it's still there, my first joke. It's called Jack Schitt and his family, which of course people know what it means after watching it :) negative ratings only lowers your percentage rating, not your post count. maybe someone reported your response or topic. If it's one liner then people don't know what you expect to discuss and so one of them might report you, thinking you are spamming the site. don't let this get to you, just keep posting!

Yes, if you copy and pasted the joke someone started giving you negatives because of that. No one wants you to break the rules so they gave you a negative. Therefore, don't copy and paste jokes anymore. Or perhaps you could add lots of commentary, and post the website to where the joke is. That is probably good. Or if it is your own joke that you made then that would be good. However, you just can't post these jokes on here, sorry :( Pablo

I guess it comes due to negative ratings mainly, ratings change quite a lot due to people rating positive and negative all the time after all.

I don't think it was because someone gave you a negative rating. They probably hit the abuse button and reported you! That's my guessing. Negative rating will only make your star number go down but the abuse button will most likely get your discussion deleted. Yeh I think I posted 2 jokes so far and then I gave up because for one I found out that jokes usually get deleted and two they don't get that many responses.
