Do you send them to your room or do you put them on a step ?? or what do you do ??
At the moment we are having problems with my 3 year old and not doing as he is told and then he goes ahead and starts throwing things :( and screaming so he gets put on the THINKING STEP... what do you call it ?? for 3 minutes and then if says sorry then he can come off of it once he knows why he was put there in the first place - usually he can be there for a while as he refuses to say sorry - but only ever for 3 minutes - and then go back....
So what do you do ?? when they have been naughty ??

When my kids were little and were not behaving, I would put them on a bench that we have in our entrance way. I would call it the naughty bench. This way they knew that if they were being naughty, they had to sit on the bench~ one minute for each yr old. Once the timer went off, I would go to them at the bench and we would talk about why they were put on the bench.
Now that they are older, I just send them to their rooms. They act like it is a huge punishment, but they all have tv's in their room , so I am just removing them from the situation.
