is it good for our stomach to eat banana? why or why not?reasons?

my teacher asked me whether it is good for our stomach to eat banana last week.she always eats banana as breakfast,lunch or supper.she feel everything fine. but i can't understand why does she like banana so much.is it good for our stomach?

Yes, it's definitely good to eat bananas...and it's not harmful to our health at all, never heard anything that eating banana should be avoided. But rather, eating banana is a truly source of a healthy body and is good for our own health as well.

Yes.I think bananas is good for our health.You see,doctors often suggest that you eat some bananas when you get constipation.It really helps us a lot.

yes! i agree it helps bowel movement go smoothly. i eat a banana everyday and sure thing i have a healthy bowel movement daily. sometimes i get annoyed because of my healthy bowel movement LOL.

I have no idea if banana id good for the stomach...
What I know is that bananas are very nourishing fruits. And picturing a banana, I imagine it is also rich in fibers so it can only do you good (unless you're trying to loose weight).

we eat fried bananas every afternoon for our afternoon snacks. we also eat fresh bananas at other hours of the day. bananas are healthy to eat and they are a good source of energy that our body needs each day. bananas are also known to contain boron and other vitamins and minerals which is very beneficial to the brain. bananas are good brain food along with peanuts.

Banana is no doubt a very good fruit for our stomach. me and my hubby takes it every morning in our breakfast . he takes two bananas with a glass of milk, honey nad all that stuff, whereas i prefer only banana with cold milk.
Its no doubt a wonderful fruit with firm and creamy flesh. it is very good for new born babies and infants.
Like we can give it by mixing in milk. my mother use to make very thin slices of banana and dry them in the sun. then make a powder of it and that powder mixed with milk and sugar canbe given to the infants, it is very healthy and nutritious dish. they are the best sources of potassium infact women can use very ripe bananas as their face packs also. it gives a nice glow.
Bananas are known for its antacid effects. it protects against stomach ulcers and ulcer damage. if a person is suffering from severe stomach ulcer, a simple mixture of banana with milk effects very fast because it suppreses the acid formation. Substances in bananas help activate the cells that compose the stomache lining, so they produce the thicker protective mucus barrier against stomach acids.
They also help eliminate bacteria in the stomach that has been pinpointed as a primary cause of stomach ulcers.
one should make it a habbit of taking banana daily . we have started taking it now as we both ( me and my hubby)are suffering from acidity. we take it in different styles. some times we take it straight with milk, some times we make a banana shake out of it , sometimes we make sandwiches by using peanut butter and banana drizzled with honey. sometimes we make porridge and add banana and some almonds and walnuts and raisins and all stuff which makes it tasty as well as healthy.

I think the question you should be asking is, why wouldn't it be good for your stomach? Banana's are obviously healthy because its a fruit. Its not like its a heavy, spicy, greasy meal...so why would it upset anyones stomach? Unless you are allergic to banana's than it shouldn't affect you. As for you teacher..maybe she just likes banana's.

Bananas are good for us, and in many countries it forms part of their staple diet. A banana gives us a lot of extra energy and we often eat them when we are busy. It helps to keep us going. I eat bananas a lot when I am driving, because of the natural energy boost it gives me.
It is also fibre, and we all need fibre in our daily diets. Fibre is what keeps us regular, that is it helps prevent constipation. These are probably some of the reasons why your teacher likes bananas so much.
So, eat bananas every day as they will help you. The help will be in more ways than one, plus they will help you concentrate too.

I like bananas and its the only fruit I eat. I dont eat much of fruits. Bananas are good for potassium. If your lacking it then eat lots of bananas that will fix you right upLOL

Bananas are good because they provide fiber and potassium. They are sweet and good, but I don't think I would eat three bananas! That is too much, but perhaps if she was eating plantains that would be good :). However, they have some sugars in them so if she is monitoring her sugar then she shouldn't eat so many bananas. As long as you don't have an alergy to bananas they are good for you and very healthy. High in potassium, vitamin B6, high in fiber. Is good in other vitamins and minerals.

Bananas are okay. But it makes a person constipate. It hardens the stool but other than that bananas are okay. It gives sufficient ready energy since it's carbs, and it's a fruit so I guess it's healthy. I eat a lot of bananas too whenever it's banana season and it's really filling. I know people who only eats bananas for a meal whenever they're trying to lose weight, it's pretty effective. I haven't heard any banana-induced illness except the hardening of the stool thing, which can easily be solved by drinking lots of water.

If you search the Internet for the benefits of banana, you'd probably find at least 10 reasons why you should take banana everyday. But it contains quite a high level of sugar that might lead to weight problem if you don't exercise enough.
I wonder if your teacher is a bit "rounded"? lol.

First I want to comment on the part about feeding them to babies, they are good for babies indeed but you totally ruin their healthy affects if you add sugar to them with milk to feed to a baby, you should instead allow the bananas to over ripen slightly and mash them up with low fat milk to use as baby food the sugar that you add is a complex carbohydrate and very bad for a babies digestive tract let alone an adults. The information in all the other posts is true but one of the best things about the potassium in a banana is that it will help lighten the affects of migraine and other headaches that most adults get mostly from stress and as far as the fiber content is concerned bananas have the highest content of digestable fiber in any food group. I eat them on a regular basis as desert prpared in many ways as a snack and energy booster and just to help tied me over until the next meal as they wont affect your apitite.

Erm, no doubt, the banana is an outstanding fruit, one of my favorites! :)
But every time I eat it the only problem is that I have to just go to the bathroom right after that. It happens all the time.
Otherwise, I love drinking banana shakes, I love 'em. :)

Banana is really good for our health. In fact, it is healthier than apple and any other fruits. I have read somewhere that banana is full of nutrients and you can do lot of things with it. You could search the web if you want, you could see lot of good information about eating banana and the benefits of it.

I would just like to add that people usually say that eat two bananas at a time rather then one.
