I see more and more people only starting discussions and not responding to too many as indicated by their response rating. I guess you earn more for less work by starting discussions but shouldnt there be an equal balance of the two?
Maybe MyLot should start some kind of a ratio to maintain the discussions to responses balance.
What do you think? Have you noticed this trend also? Do you think both aspects of MyLot should be made compulsory to earn?

Yes there are many members who will post many discussions in a day one after the another.I think they must be writing down the discussions and then start posting discussions when they have time to log in at mylot.I think this way they are able to post more as it is difficult to search for interesting discussions for responding.It is also a possibility that they might be copying the discussion topics from other forms as it is very much difficult atleast for me to think of so many discussions in a single day.

I guess so..I never have the time to actually come up with so many different topics to start discussions on. I have so far started a maximum of 2 discussions on any day (actually only today). I guess whatever works for everyone is fine.

In my opinion, to think of many discussion topic in a day is not impossible, Tony. It is possible and easy with brain storming. The question is whether the topic is one of quality, or just a brain storm when posted for discussion.
Personally, I too have many brain stormed topics daily if I were to have a go at it, but when I try to craft them into discussion topic, I realised the topic is meaningless, and hence I do away with it. I guess many do not take the extra step to think through their discussion topic.

Hello,bindishhah,i also noticed this trends as i found out my email was swarmed with discussions from particular users,honestly,i did not mind they start many discussions everyday,and it was their choices to reply or not,but i had to say it would be hard to their friends to reply to them since they might have start a discussion in few mintues,most of the time,they were one line discussions and i did not know who to reply.
I think mylot is a free community ,if they feel comfortable to start discussions,then they were free to do that.

Yes I truely agree with you .. but have you noticed -- member with higher rankings won't post so many discussions in a day .. they used to post to many discussions rather than creating their own and their old discussions are so much popular with all that they used to get 10 - 15 responses to their discussions on daily basis .. I have noticed this thing many times... and found it really cool. The other users who are just devoting their time in starting discussions -- are the new users -- they don't know much about mylot and are in the state of experimenting things:) .. they used to learn a lot once they become old here:)
