Hi, I am in the market to buy a small 4 wheel drive vehicle.
It has to be small as it will be used in mediterranean villages where something that wouldnt look out of place on monster trucks would just get stuck.
It doesn't have to have ultimate off road capabilities, just be able to soak up the daily drive along dirt tracks and unmetalled roads.
So does anyone have any ideas on what to look for.
I have been looking at the Suzuki Ignis, Fiat Panda and Toyota RAV4. Do you have any experience of these (good or bad) or can anyone recommend another vehicle that you have had good experiences with.
I do not want to make a mistake when buying this car as it will have a last a few good years before I will be able to afford another vehicle.
Many thanks in advance for your help

Doesn't everybody seem to ride a quad bike or moped around the med, to nip down all the little windy roads. I have seen these really old battered 3 wheel pickups, they look cool!
What about a jeep with a removable roof?

I couldn't ride a quad bike or moped around as I dont have the co-ordination to smoke, drink coffe and talk on my mobile at the same time as concentrating on the road as they seem to do in Greece.
Maybe I need to do a course or something like that.
I like the idea of those little 3 wheeled trucks but you never see them on sale anywhere, plus I can imagine the look on peoples faces when they see me coming to pick them up at the airport LOL.
What sort of jeep do you recommend, I have seen the suzuki samurai on sale (used), do you think that would be a bargain buy?
