I enjoy watching PBS. They always have very good programming. I watched a program on PBS where they had a group of people living in a village and everyone had to live, eat and dress in the mid 1800s style.
Do you think you could live that way and would you volunteer to be in a project like this one? Do you watch PBS? If you do what's the best PBS program?

Actually I love PBS. It might not have all the flash of the Discovery Channel, or the Food Network, but the shows are basically the same. I find it really soothing to watch PBS in fact, and it's so nice not to have to deal with commericals!
The show you are refering to is the PBS "house" series. I LOVE those shows. There are a few difference series, and you can get then on Netflix if you are interested in catching up. I think my favorite is "Frontier House", but there is also "Colonial House", "Manor House", and "1940's House". I'm not sure if I would be any good on these shows, but I had a friend who made "call-backs" for "Texas Ranch House". Unfortunaely she could not get the time away from school to do the show.

Thanks for your response twilight021. I find PBS has interesting programming when the others do not. I've seen Colonial House and I've seen Manor House. I've not seen the 1940s series.
I have seen information about the Texas Ranch House and find it so interesting.
I love it!

I do watch PBS. Loved Frontier House. As to your question of could I live that way, I think so. If someone showed me how thing were done then as they did with the family. But I am too private a person to be in something like that. My favorite PBS show would have to be Nova or Frontline. They are both so informative.

I would jump at the chance to go. I'm like you. If someone showed me what to do and how to do it, I'm in!
I wouldn't like the idea of being on television, but I would love the rest of it.
I loved Frontier House.
I enjoy watching History Detectives too. And I always enjoy the musical performances.
I think we watch PBS more than most other channels.

My PBS sucks. They have constant repeats, and always run campaigns for money. Their plea for money sometimes take so long that I forget what I was tuneing in to watch. I think PBS is going the way of the Dodo bird because we can alll download anything we want. We can watch anything we want I watch movies on my PC which are not yet released on DVD.Please see my discussion I started on this very same subject. Happy viewing.
