Ok, I must admit that I was once was one of those nerdy kids that used to make their own toys, back in the day... Among hobbies that included discovering the surprisingly painful results of fire applied to bare skin and the almost surefire results of testing Gravity by trying to "fly" off the branches of a tree, like I'd seen birds do... Was the excellently soothing habit of making and flying my own kites (and selling them to to other kids) on a breezy beautiful day, in the local school yard or playground... I used to love staring at my kites and I would imagine that they were Me, reaching up and up to those billowing cumulus clouds to who-knows-where... Obviously, those were the days when the Earth has an Ozone Layer and sensible weather patterns... Still, kite flying can be fun when you really know how, some people even get paid to do this, so next time you tell someone to "Go fly a kite!" you actually might be doing them a favour!
