A very old film staring Olivia Newton John (from the famous movie of Grease) and Andy Gibb (brother to the group Bee Gees)! The movie is about how andy gibb's character is a record cover artist who runs into olivia newton john's charater who is one of the seven sisters other wise known as a muse! Part of the plot is about a romance between them but also a relationship with a old jazz player and dancer... who is very famous in real life!!!
I recommend this movie to anyone who likes the 70s and early 80s era and genre!!! The movie does date itself.... in which there is roller dancing .. yes I said roller dancing!!!
Are there any other Xanadu fans out there... let me know what you think of it!!!

I love this movie. I'm a Gene Kelly fan any ways but overall it's a very good story. The plot is good, the songs are great, and the dancing and roller dancing scenes are awesome. ELO was also very good in there in playing the music. I might just have to pop this movie in :)
By the way Andy Gibb did not play Sonny Malone, it was Michael Beck. Not sure where you got Andy Gibb for it. If you want you can check it out here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081777/ I also have a copy of the movie and watched it a lot and know it's Michael Beck.

You are quite welcome. It's one of my favorites but then again if Gene Kelly is in it I'll watch it at least once if not more.
I saw that. I can't imagine it in a play. I'm sure it would be excellent to see but I can't imagine how they would do it all on a stage. Might be interesting to see.

Oh, I watched it once. Harmless fluff, really.
But did you know it's been launched on Broadway as a live musical?!
I nearly barfed on my desk.
It's insane!!!
