How did you name your cat?

Our cat came from a recsue centre and we kept the names he came with as we liked it

i have two adopted famel cats from the streets. The first one who came into our house is Kitty and the next morning, Mimi came. I named them that way coz i think they are sisters considering the color of their coat and their size, both are of same size and coat of white and orange... i named them after Sanrio sister, Hello Kitty and Hello Mimi... they have been with me around a year and 2 months. Kitty gave birth 2 weeks ago to 3 cute little kittens, a boy and 2 girls, same coat color-orange and white! i haven't named them yet, im thinking of Greek god and goddess names. =)

The previous owner of my cat named out cat Blue because her eyes were blue.

My female cat's name is Liberty because she was born on the 4th of July. My boy cat's name is Leo because it just felt right. Often (when naming things), I go through names in my head until I find one that just sounds right.

I've had cats ever since I was five years old, so I've had to be at times inventive about names...like one time when I had a trio of cats, and i named them Bibbity Bobbity Bo--LOL--right now I only have two cats..a black cat I named Pyewacket...an apt name for a black cat..and from that movie Bell, Book and Candle...my other cat a female I named Kissy...don't ask why..just sounded good!

My child hood kitty was names mischeif, and it suited him perfectly. I am acaully allergic to kitties but i perfere them to dogs(they seem smarter).Well he was an out door kitty and everytime the door would open he would run in and hide. Or during the summer whn we would have the big door open with the screan door closed he would climb up the scream to look in and just hang out there until his paws got tired. I think his original name was fred and was changes after we got his personality. The other kitty i had was Frodo Baggins aka mr. underhill, i got him while The Lord of the Rings movies were coming out and for some reason i liked the name frodo and when i got my kitty he became the entire title of frodo.
