I like tanning. I know that it is not a good idea. I understand the dangers but I like how I look with golden brown skin. I 'm not much into tube tanning (fake and bake at a tan salon)but I like hanging out with friends in the back yard sipping on a cold drink and BBQing.

I like tanning but with the natural tan not artificial one. Luckily the place I am living there are plenty of sun that I can sun bathing throughout the summer. But I always take sun protection precaution to avoid long time exposure in the sun as I would like to absorb some vitamin D but keep skin cancer away. LOL

I have never really had a tan. When i was younger i watched a program about skin cancer and ever since i find it very difficult to be in the sun. Even when i was in spain at the age of about 12 i was coating factor 50 suncream on my skin so i couldn't get over exposer. I would like to have a tan but i am usless with tan creams and such. I think i will one day try to full body sprays at a salon.
The one plus about not exposing my skin to sun is that not only do i reduce the risk of skin cancer (i have a few moles that im scared of becoming cancerous in the sun) but i will be wrinkle free for alot longer and i hope my skin will still be very pump into my later years.
I have seen some VERY nasty skin on people who you can tell sunbathe to much and it makes me glad i dont try to get a natural tan during summer.

I don't tan at all, I probably should since I am probably the whitest person alive. But I don't go to tanning beds or anything like that.

Why do you think tanning is not a good idea? It very healthy for you to get a daily dose of UV light in order for your calcium intake to activate and turn into vitamin D, When I was diagnosed with TB I was told not to sun, but when my DR. called me and said that the Meds. I was on were making my liver die I decided I've never had a tan (I'm a green-eyed Redhead) and an old friend and told me I could tan using REAL butter, so I slather my naked little body, 75lbs at the time, and sunned 15 min. for one week and he did blood tests and you know the values when down, my skin never even turned pink and this Dr. (and a few others before I was done) freaked. Now he recommends sunning along with the TB regiment.
