Is it just me or are europeans weird.

I have been watching the eurovision song contest (i felt in the mood for some self harm) and i've noticed that the rest of europe have the weirdest taste in music, comedy, entertainment and not to mention the fashion.
I really feel that the UK doesn't belong with this bunch of weirdos, so i'm sending a plea out to anyone who we can join. I would like australia because they have good weather and i do a good accent, but i wouldn't mind Canada or USA too much. just please someone get us away from this bunch. So if anyone has a way of getting us away then we will be willing to listen.

This is just a strange show without real meaning, people debate about it every year. All these odd songs usually don`t make it to the charts. Here in Germany people in the street scratch their heads which stupid song and performer they elect to represent us. It has nothing to do with the music scene in Germany and I guess it is the same in all the other countries. It is just sonething to talk about for a day or two.

Thank goodness you have said this fellow Brit. We are in a different league, so we should close a deal on this competition and make a quick exit.
It does show us up and I do not know one person here in the UK who actually enjoys and cheers our country on. Its so embarrassing, I cringe and avoid it at all costs.
I did see 5 mins of it tonight and that was torture.
We are known for our great music, we do not need this competition. I hope it will soon stop.

As Ricknkae says, you can't possibly take that garbage seriously. Our crazy european cousins may be a little eccentric, but hey, who are we to judge?

I think that you need to take each countries representative and divide their wierdness by the inane-ness, stupidity and irrelevance of the UK entry to get a more accurate reflection of their nation.

The eurovision is a bit of a characture of europe, it picks the worst bits of each country, multiplies they my 100 and tries to pass it off as culture!
It's not europeans that are wierd, it's the eurovision!

The UK is slowly drifting off to the USA and the USA slowly drifting off the the UK, so in a million years from now the 2 of you can form the UKA ;).

ah come on you cannot judge europeans based on Eurovision!!
As a French native I can tell you I always found Eurovision show being weird and so different from the other entertainment shows we ususally watch
Eurovision is an old fashioned type of contest where now people seem to dress very weirdly and try to find the eeriest songs to get noticed
I never ben a big fan of eurovision kind of music, we would usually watch to make fun of the contestants!!! there lwasy seem to find the weirdest singers for that show!!LOL
Come on, you should know that one shouldn't judege a book by the cover ...

I never watch much of fashion show on TV but many European people work here and they don't like Canadian or American fashion. In my homeland we think British are Europeans and we don't see much difference in your fashion style either.
In my case, if I could afford it I would create my own style.

it was my first time to watch eurovison last night and it was pretty refreshing to see different numbers from european countries since I don't have any knowledge of europe's music industry.
