My minature roses

Minature roses - These are blooms off my minature rose bush that I got for Mother's Day last year. This is the first one I have had that blooms so much. I was tickled to get so many blooms at once. They are each about the size of my thumbnail.

I got a minature rose bush for Mother's Day last year and it has just bloomed it's little head off. I really have enjoyed it! What kind of a present did you get your Mother for Mother's Day? I recommend a live plant, like mine.

Oh that is so beautiful..I prefer live plants myself..As for my mom..well my mom passed away last summer but I still plan to get a card in memory of her...and maybe a balloon..and hey..maybe something nice for me..after all, I'm a mom to my kitties!LOL

Absolutely! I got a Happy Grandmother card from two of our kitties that belong to our daughter. (I take care of them while she is at work!)

I got 3 miniature roses last year, and put them outin the garden against the house. They bloomed wonderfully all summer but come winter, one of the neighbour hood cats used to sit on them to watch the birds and they don't look like they'll be putting out any leaves at all! :-(

Oh how pretty! Is the bush itself minature too or just the blooms? I may have to hint for one of those for some occassion as I find it beautiful! I love fresh cut flowers. I got my mother two Hosta plants that she wanted. It is a new variety of hosta that is green/yellow...with very large leaves. Gorgeous plants!

Yes, the bush is minature--about a foot high altogether. They come in several different colors. I love hostas, but they don't do well in Florida heat.

My mom and I have had a rocky relationship all our lives. We haven't seen each other in 7 years and it had been several years before that since we'd seen each other. We have had maybe 5 conversations on the phone in the past 5 years. But, for my birthday, she sent flowers! So, that told me she is trying to have a relationship again. That's all I want, is for her to 'try'. I sent her a beautiful wind chime made of a unique wood with two little wooden carved birds on it. I hope she likes it. I never know with her. But, I got it anyway.
