This is one of my best read freelance article I published. It has stayed at the top of the chart for more than 6 months. I would want to share my experiences here for all to read. *********************************************************** I have been working for the last 30 years. Various jobs that have given me much wisdom and knowledge about life. When I was young, I felt the whole world is mine. After 20 years of slogging for ungrateful bosses, my feelings changed. Society can keep the world I thought was mine. Reaching my late forties, I have only one thing in mind. EARLY RETIREMENT! Why early retirement? The question is "why must I follow the norm?" The norm is you retire at 55 years old. Anyway, many of us still never retire because at 55 years old, the house still belongs partially to the bank, the kids are just starting college, the dog and the cat needs the vet and so on. The list never seems to end and neither do it fade. Early retirement is my dream and goal since 2000. I did not know how, where and when to start on my road to early retirement. Living in a small town did not help me in realising my goal. So, I took the most drastic step in life - pack up and move to the city. It's a drastic move but this is the first step towards my goal of early retirement. Why? Simple. The city is often the hub of business opportunities. I need to be my own boss first. I then started to scout around for things that will help me to gain financial freedom. The secret is PASSIVE INCOME and it has to be MONTHLY and MULTIPLE STREAMS. So, how do I go about it? This is my checklist to narrow down my search for business : (They are in no particular order) a. Make a full time income from home. b. Spend more time with my family. c. Be my own boss. d. Pay off my outstanding credit loans (esp my house). e. Generate a passive income in a short amount of time. f. Build a retirement income. g. Take the travel vacation I have always wanted. h. Achieve financial security for myself and my family. i. Have no boss above me and workers below me. j. Low or no startup capital needed. and.......... k. START MAKING MONEY TODAY! With this checklist in hand, I began to scout the newspapers, magazines, cyberspace for the right businesses to be in. Last year I found only one that fits my pre-requisites - Options trading. However, I was not too successful in this as I did not have the time. This year, I found the best! It generates me monthly passive income - not once a month but once a forthnight. Like that? In fact, after joining, this business (which is online and give me opportunity to study as well) is generating me a monthly passive income more that my existing monthly pay. Some of us who are in this online business joked about having a private club called "I fired my boss club". I want to encourage all who aspire to early retire to start if you have not yet. It does not matter whether you are now 20 years old or 50 years old. Be early retired! Don't feel sorry for the world because it is losing you, the most commited and dedicated staff there ever is. The choice is always yours and not your boss. I have embarked on my road to early retirement. My goal is year 2008. Have you started your journey?
