Meredith's hair...is it just me or is it horrible?

I love this show, but I can't stand Meredith's hair. It is just so flat and icky and not even a style at all. Am I alone in my thoughts on this? Why don't they let her have better hair?

I agree, I've always thought it was awful, does she refuse to let them do anything with it, or is it part of the character. Everyone else's hair usually looks nice. It makes her look a little out of place, or maybe the other people's hair just looks a little too nice to be believable as doctors or interns.

I am the person who would not to be worried about hair after 2 years as it is dropping daily as much as you can't amazing. So this question is not for me., I'm having dandruff maybe after i changed shampoo..i have to put aloe era in my scalp to get rid of the dandruff and good thing it worked. bout hairstyle's, I'm wearing my hair long with high lights right now.

lol. i think it's part of the character.
Interns are supposed to look like them, with unruly and unkempt hair. And since I'm working in a medical institution, and I can vouch for that. Only a few interns have the time to provide the necessary "hair care"... =)

Yes I agree that her hair is icky but I think that it is part of her appeal. I think that they are trying to make it look like she is just a regular everyday person not someone that always has perfect hair and makeup..

Meredith's hair is always looking ratty! She needs to do something with it. She is supposed to be a doctor. She should look more presentable. Do the producers actually think that tousled hair is sexy?

I agree, it must be part of the character. After the first season finished, I saw Ellen Pompeo on some awards show on tv, and I was literally slack-jawed with shock at how pretty and sexy she looked. I think that Meredith made a more or less unconscious choice to de-emphasize her looks, because she doesn't want to have to compete in that arena, too.

lol. i've just finished watching grey's anatomy and was thinking exactly the same thing. her hair looks as if it's screaming for some kind of deep conditioning treatment. her hair's pretty wavy so at least put some serum or a styling cream to define her curls. i wouldn't go out of the house with a hair like that hahaha.. .
