Hej i Sverige, Michael fra Danmark her! ;-) I agree, the Serbian song was very good but I also think they got a lot of sympathy points as a way of saying "welcome in our club". After all they have been the pariah of Europe for more than a decade. Denmark gave Sweden 12 points, but I'm sorry to say I didn't vote for you - the song was boring and weird to me. I voted for the opera-rock song, don't remember which country it was. All in all I think the quality of the songs were very good this year. There has been a lot of complaints about the Eastern European countries voting for each other's songs and driving all of Western Europe out of the competition. Especially the UK appears to believe that they get no points simply because they are the UK. Honestly, the songs they have entered with have been very, very, very bad. It's incredible they can't see it themselves. I think the Eastern European countries are better than us. They enter with established stars and contemporary songs, whereas most of Western Europe enter with new names and songs that seem to mimic the 1980's We have to start taking the Eurovision Song Contest seriously if we want to get back in the game.
