Painkillers. Do you reach for them really quickly?

I don't take painkillers very often, I think that half the time, the ones you can buy over the counter are relatively useless anyway. About the only time I really look for them is when I've got a migraine, and can't really think straight. Most times I tend to grin and bear it, and don't generally talk about what is hurting. My wife is more the opposite, and she likes the cuddles when she is hurting, although that's about all I can do. I can't make the pain go away. How about eveyone else? Do you like the relief from painkillers or cuddles, or both?

ey there muscare! :) me, i also don't take pain killers often. im afraid that i might rely to it every time i feel pain if i take it always. i dunnoh but i think that if you always take it, your natural body tolerance for pain will go a little lower every time and you'll end up dependent on pain killers. i only take some if i can't bear the pain anymore, like having a dysmenorrhea when im in the office and i can't concentrate anymore on my work.

Hi,rojane. That has always been my thoughts on taking painkillers too. They lower the bodies threshold for pain, meaning the more you take the quicker you reach for them! That is usually when I start looking for them ,is when the pain gets so bad I can no longer concentrate. Oh, and by the way, you look a little cheeky in your new photo, like you're schemeing something!!

I've always thought water was good for you, but didn't realise you could use it like that. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out, but probably before I get a migraine!
