Swimming is a good sport and a good exercise for the heart especially. It's nice that you engage in swimming as a sport. I assume that you have participated in swimming contests, etc. Even if you do not win in such contests, you are doing well for your health and that's what is important.

Yes, in 10 years I have been participated in a lot of contests. I was national champ, balcanic vicechamp and a lot of other good results, but like you said health and physical condition were the best things I won. I hope that will be more people who love and practice this beautiful sport.

I personally love the sport, I have done it competitively and would have to rank it among the top 3 fav sports.

Swimming is the one exercise I can still do. It is good for my fibromyalgia and arthritis if I'm in a heated pool. Cold water hurts, however.
I learned to swim later than most folks, I was in my thirties, and I have always enjoyed it. I love the water. Just being near water is a joy - stream, river, lake, ocean. Someday maybe I'll own a cabin near enough to water to hear it. That would be lovely.
