I cannot see any reason what so ever that the vote should be limited to peolpe that are literate. beeing literate does not ensure that people are knowledgeable - beeing illiterate does not mean that they are not.

Absolutely not. Everyone has the right to express their opinion and views no matter their education levels, race, religion or any other demographic that sets them apart from the majority.
