Genius

I have watched all of his shows, even his live shows and yes, there are things he can't do. I have also read his book, tricks of the mind. You need to bear in mind that most of his tricks have to be set up perfectly in order for them to work and watching his shows, you don't get to see how many times the trick failed before he managed to pull it off, they only tend to show you the times that he was successfull. These kind of tricks generally only work on 30% of people as long as you can get them into a highly suggestible state of mind. Other tricks are really simple and anybody can perform them. This has a lot to do with psychology, nlp, hypnosis, body language and cold-reading, areas which I have delved deeper into since seeing what derren is capable of. It took him 20 years to develop and perfect the techniques he uses and I hope to be as good as him someday! (hey, i can dream!)
