Hi! Is there anybody out there that lives in dubai and moved there from another country? We are looking to move to dubai and I would like to know what it is like there.. I am a south african and will be moving to Dubai.
If there are any South Africans that live in Dubai I would like them to contact me as well. What the rate of exchange is from South Africa...
If we do eventually move there then it will only be in about 18 months time or so... but it is never too early to start gathering information on the place and lifestyle..
Thanks! Your assistance will be greatly appreciated... Look forward to hearing from you...

I have never been to there. But there are many of my relatives and friend's relatives who are there.I have even friends who stay there and study with me in college. Its a wonderful place to be.A highly developed place full of money and richness. Its the centre of arabian lands.

Hi,
If you like the sun and sand then it is the place to be.
As a city it is beautiful, not much in terms of natural beauty but it a buzzing and constantly on the move kinda a city.
People are friendly, u may be interact much with the local population however you will definitely meet lots of Asian and europeans.
Not sure if u have kids and need schools, if YES then few good ones are Cambridge High School, Jumeria American School, Chouiefat and few more.
I have lived in DUBAI for over 25 yrs and have seen the city evolve into a metropolis.
You will surely enjoy it, oh yeh Cricket is big too.
Hope u like the place.
Enjoy.
Regards
Ash
ps. Make sure you take international driving license otherwise getting a local license can take years. YEH years.
