Your mom must really have a baker's touch. I just hope that I could get my hands on an almond cake soon. Thanks for your sharing, teison2! ;)

Given that it "was so good tasting," trinidad, I could really only hope that your son would start baking it again very soon.

The first thing that i think when the name or topic of cake comes is Black Forest. i love that nad me and my hubby both like Black Forest as the best. we have same choice, so when ever we wanna have a craving for it we buy one and bring it home, make one mug of coffee which we share and sit with the whole cake. we dont make anything that day. the only thing we eat is cake and drinkis that coffee. my hubby loves that a lot.

Black forest is undeniably one of the best cakes and it could perhaps easily explain why it's the "first thing" that you think of when the topic of cakes comes to the fray.
Pairing it with coffee is surely a great treat and that's probably why your "hubby loves that a lot."
Thanks a lot for your much appreciated participation to this discussion and Happy myLotting, aweins! ;)

To be honest, all the cakes you enjoy eating really seem invitingly yummy, marababe. I would surely try to visit Goldilocks and Red Ribbon pretty soon to check out your favorite cakes.

If Cibo's cheesecake topped with caramel sauce is really that "yum yum" for you, marababe, I would surely love to try it pretty soon.
Again, thanks for participating in this discussion and Happy myLotting! ;)

Black fores is a sure hit for me, too, fazelath! I feel that apart from the chocolates in it, though, you love it probably because, as you've said, it's "tasty yummy." ;)

It's more of a pastry really but I just got some chocolate danish's from the local super market that are tasty. They definitely my favorite at the moment. I love chocolate and the pastry is perfect so they are my idea of heaven really.

Perhaps because nothing could really beat the original. What do you think?
Black Forest, to be sure, is enticingly mouth-watering, AnoChaudhary. Try to eat in moderation, though, ok?
Thanks a lot for your honest post and Happy myLotting! ;)

Hi!
When I was young, I didn't eat any cake. I remember when I first ate cake. It was my brother's birthday. My mother bought a cake with cream on it. On it, there are ten candles. After he blew them out, I ate my share. It was very delicious. It had an apple flavor. I couldn't help eating one more.

Hello taskata10!
Since, as you remember, such a cake "had an apple flavor," would I be correct in saying that your favorite cake is an apple cake? If not, what's it and where's it available, if ever?
Thanks a lot for openly sharing your childhood memory of your favorite cake and Happy myLotting! ;)

There's not too many cakes that I don't like. lol But one thing's for sure. I want icing on it, not that whipped cream stuff. Yuck! My grandma used to make something called a date cake. It had cherries, dates and nuts in it. I don't even remember if it had icing or not, but I loved it, so that's probably my favorite cake.
