Don't you think forcing a kid to overperform could cause a burn-out???

Most of the students i see are being forced to study what they don't like! And are also forced to over perform in most of the activities either by their parents or relatives. this is really a worse thing about school life this really does lead to a child becoming mentally and physically weak. I think there should be serious training about this to parents of children. Really i think this is a serious problem!!!

its not good when you are forcing your kids to the things they dont like, because sometimes they are feeling they are not free, then their performance in school is not good anymore. because they will think that its useless to make good performance because its not their own desicion. And after they think that their parents not love them. we must make them to decide what they want to do in life, and we only guide them if they are make good or not.

My father forced me to overperform, and it got so bad that I was very burned out. Although I was talented on the clarinet, I ended up quitting it for many years due to being made to practice for so many hours at a time.

yeah...you are right.i know a guy who wants to become an engineer, but his parents are doctors and they want him to be a doctor...and guess what....this guy hates it!!so inititally he was doing good, but later on he started losing it and he failed in all of the medicine exams...so i really think it forcing kids coud cause a burnout!!
